Turning off the electronics

I like to think that I’m pretty good at occupying my daughter at home without letting her sit in front of the T.V. or on her tablet all day. We love to bake together,  she loves when I make cupcakes and brownies! We play with her toys or play board games and when the weather is nice we go outside to run off some energy. I really try to get creative.

Sometimes we just need to get out of the house and go somewhere. If we can, we go to the park. Sometimes we go places like Monkey Joes or The Playhouse but since those places cost money sometimes we try to find places to go that don’t.

She likes to go to the mall. There’s a little play space and they have trains at Barnes and Noble that she loves playing with. We will even sit around at Barnes and Noble and read a book or two. We like to grab lunch at the food court sometimes and window shop through the mall for a while.

We also like going to McDonalds or Chick Fil A to play in their play places. Chick Fil A is definitely a favorite right now for both of us. I love the chicken sandwiches and sweet tea and she loves that I can sit and watch her through the window! I also REALLY love how nice Chick Fil A employees are and how clean the restaurant normally is!

Obviously Chuck E. Cheese is an option but you can really make a dent in your bank account there if you’re not careful. We like to go eat at CiCi’s Pizza and spend a little time in the game room. I really try to entertain her at home as much as possible but sometimes we just need to get out and have an adventure.
